BRIGHAM CITY, Utah – Storm Products Inc. (SPI) has announced that Yannick Roos has joined the team at headquarters as Social Media Manager. Roos will oversee the connection of the company’s digital community and manage daily content creation on all the SPI social media channels.

“Over the past 15 years, the role of social media management has grown into a vital and visible part of every company,” Gary Hulsenberg, VP of Marketing, said. “We believe the individual who is chosen for this engaging position within SPI must know the sport at a competitive level to properly interact with our customers. We are extremely excited to add Yannick to the team and believe he is a perfect fit for this position.”

“Looking back at when I started bowling, I could have never imagined that I would have such a cool and long career,” Roos said. “I shot my first ever 300 with a Storm ball, so working at Storm Products, is definitely a full circle moment.”

Roos was raised in Oranjestad, Aruba and started bowling at the age of 9. As a youth athlete he developed a deep passion for the sport of bowling and competed at the highest level by representing Aruba on the national bowling team. At the completion of his youth career, he committed to bowl for The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where he was a student athlete while also studying Advertising and Branding with a minor in Fashion Photography. After graduation, Roos served as Media Manager for Covenant Security Surveillance in Savannah.

“Yannick was a valuable teammate at SCAD on and off the lanes and was able to gain some experience through a full-time position post-graduation,” Hulsenberg said. “Storm believes and invests heavily in the future of the game. Over the years, we’ve discovered that not every youth bowler or collegiate athlete wants to compete on the PBA or PWBA Tour, but they still have aspirations to be part of the sport at a deeper level. We’ve found these individuals to have dedication, passion, and the enthusiasm to be great assets to our team at Storm HQ. Their passion for the game pushes our team to continue to create the best experience for our customers.”

As the Social Media Manager, Roos will be mainly responsible for updating the SPI’s social media channels, following current trends, overseeing digital ads, and creating engaging content but will also spend time preserving the brand voices while monitoring, listening, and interacting with current and future fans within the SPI Community digitally. In addition, Roos will serve as an ambassador at SPI sponsored events where his ability to connect through shared experiences on the lanes will be an asset.

“Being able to work in an environment with others that have the same passion for bowling is super exciting,” Roos said. “I love that I can create my art and continue my career doing it in a field and at a company that I love. I cannot wait to meet all the Storm Nation fans over the next couple years!”
