The PBA All-Star Weekend was such a fun way for two sports to collaborate and the Nascar community was fantastic! This event allowed race fans to get up-close and personal with the Go Bowling car, meet some Nascar drivers, and get to know some professional bowlers. The Nascar drivers even got the opportunity to bowl (some for their first time) and showed everyone how fun bowling can be! It was such a fun way for two worlds, racing and bowling, to collide!
This was my first opportunity to attend an event with the PBA and I really enjoyed watching behind-the-scenes. Seeing all the moving parts between the FOX reporters, camera guys, the host, the PBA and the players, opened my eyes to all of the pieces it takes to come to life. It really takes a lot to make a TV show and there is a lot of flexibility from everyone involved. I even got to see inside the FOX trailer and WOW! What an experience that was! I realized that it takes a lot of patience, presence, and concentration to truly make it all successful. If you ever get the chance to attend a PBA event in your town, do it! You will love seeing every part.
Our SPI players competed in several competitions throughout the weekend. It was fun to watch them do what they do best while also showcasing bowling doesn’t always have to be super serious. It’s a sport that everyone can enjoy! I think the players really had a good time being involved in this event as well. I got to witness a lot of laughs, smiles, and cheers.
It was such an honor to watch some current stars bowl with and against the best legends this sport has ever had. We don’t get to see the legends and the rising stars together very often. I loved that they got to do trick shots too! It was fun to watch the creativity! There were some great successes, and some epic fails that made everyone laugh. The fans really loved this part!
