A native of Indianola, IA, I started bowling when I was 5 years old. I got the love of the sport from my Mom and Dad who both bowled. Actually, my whole family bowled, grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles. I started bowling adult at the age of 18 making the stepladder in my very first adult event. I joined the PBA in 2003 and earned the PBA Midwest Region Rookie of the Year honor that season. My first PBA title came in 2004 at the Midwest Region RPI qualifier earning my spot on the Midwest RPI team. An honor I held every year until the program was canceled. I earned an exemption to the PBA Tour in December of 2010, however, I wasn’t able to bowl an event as an exempt player as that program was cancelled prior to the 2011 season. I won my only event on the PBA Tour in February 2011 at the USBC Masters. I have made 4 tv shows on the regular PBA Tour. In 2021 I joined the PBA50 Tour winning two Major Championships. The PBA50 US Open and USBC Senior Masters. I also earned the PBA50 Player and Rookie of the Year. I currently reside in Granger, IA with my wife Sue, son Andrew and daughter Megan.
