Centripetal HD - A.I. Core Technology

With the Centripetal HD packed inside the A.I. Core, we’ve pushed the limits of RG and differential further than we ever have before. The RG and differential combination ensure the Summit Acent revs up early and keeps shaping down the lane, where it matters most. No other core helps ensure a predictable arc to help you maximize consistency better than the Centripetal HD enhanced with A.I. technology.

REACH THE SUMMIT OF SUCCESS

Want even more elevation? Add Storm’s renowned R2S Solid to the mix that strikes the ideal balance between grip and glide. By carefully calibrating the surface roughness, we’ve optimized the ball’s interaction with the lane, providing you with enhanced command over both the length and shape of your shots.

Ball Specs: Centripetal HD core with A.I. technology
R2S solid coverstock and finished at 4000 abralon

Here WE go, the newest Summit added to the line is the Summit Ascent. The prior Summits used the TX-23 coverstock in a hybrid on the OG Summit and then followed up by the Summit Peak with TX-23 pearl coverstock. I feel SPI was looking to even the playing field with the Summit Ascent. With using the proven and very reliable R2S coverstock, it matched very well with the Centripetal HD core. For me using on a 42ft THS, as you can see in my YouTube video, it is quite balanced in ball motion and continuous through the pin deck, even on the lighter and heavier pocket hits, it definitely has that extra kick. I really started to enjoy the Ascent has the lane shine developed on the cover, when the cover is “fresh”, it’s a little early and a little hooky. So, for my sessions, league and practice time with it, I just wiped it down with some Reacta Clean wipes and not touch up the cover with any kind of abarlon pad being used on the cover. When My Summit Peak and Optimum Idol Pearl start going a stick to long and the Hustle X-Ray is not strong enough, the Ascent makes its presence know. I am starting to learn about myself and my game with some of the more recent releases and using longer pin to pap drillings thanks to Earl Burger at ABC North Lanes and for all the great information that Storm puts out there, including the videos on YouTube. The longer I use the Ascent, the better it is getting. This will replace my Optimum Idol solid in my current arsenal, which will be: Hustle X-Ray, Lighting Blackout, Summit Ascent, Optimum Idol Pearl and X-Cell. I like the view from here
Layout: 5x3x3
Rev Rate: 475+

The Summit Ascent has brought back the warrior R2S solid cover. It follows the T-Road and Torrent path; a solid that can play! The center I bowl, you have to find a way to stay on the beloved track if you want to score, and it's been this way forrrrrr-ever!

What I've seen is what I expected - a ball that would get through the mess at laydown, blend the lane and shape. One of the bright spots downlane, the solid cover does not jump to the left when it sees the friction. There were plenty of 10 in the pit shots and a few bomb messengers! I'm biased after going 227, with the back 5, the front 9 for 279, and the back 9 strikes to close with another 279.

This ball should play well across all of the styles. This is not a "heavy" oil ball as drilled, and there are better choices. But from the medium-heavy going right up to the medium-light stuff, I believe this ball can run the show! AND the only reason I don't give a 5 rating, R&D might get lazy.

An incredible ball!
Wait. Release date August 23? Oh, but I've got one already. Powerful beautiful ball with a scent that's sticks to the mind like the strikes it provides!
