Achieving Peak Performance

With the Centripetal HD packed inside the A.I. Core, we’ve pushed the limits of RG and differential further than we ever have before. The RG and differential combination ensure the Summit Peak revs up early and keeps shaping down the lane, where it matters most.

Precision-Refined Summit Peak

Because the early part of the lane gets used and beaten up the most, TX-23 Pearl makes sure the ball won’t burn up too early. TX-23 is an improved formula derived from TX-16™ (Phaze™ II) that gives enhanced oil absorption for even better grip on those heavy-oil conditions.

Storm Summit Peak review by Mike Craig
I drilled my STORM SUMMIT PEAK at a 4.5 x 4 x 2. I left it mainly shined but did lightly hit it with a 3000 Tru Cut pad to get the glaze off. I have thrown it about 10 games since I hit the cover so probably due for another 3000 Tru Cut touch up.

I have thrown this on league conditions. In the center I bowl on Mondays at, it just seemed like it needed the lanes to be a touch more dryer to carry better. It would glide thru the fronts easily but not get thru the pins hard enough to carry out tens for me. My RG ATTENTION STAR was more bowling ball and worked much better there. My Tuesday night league gets more blown up in the track area and this ball was golden when they got to that shot. I would use the RG ATTENTION STAR until it got to forward and then step down to the SUMMIT PEAK to take over. When the PEAK was starting to get too forward or flat, then my 900 GLOBAL XPONENT PEARL was in play.

The motion was smooth like the original SUMMIT, but the pearl cover got it down the lane quite a bit further than the original.

Incredible roll and awesome power
It has been a long time since I had two balls that work in conjunction with each other so well. I start with the Absolute Power and when it starts to hit a little flat I easily transition to the Summit Peak to get the added length downlane with just a bit more pop. Having a ball I know I can effortlessly transition to saves me several frames of searching for the right ball.

Review:
The Summit Peak is another very strong pearl ball by Storm. The original Summit was smooth and predictable, the Peak is different. The Summit Peak is very responsive to friction and this creates a very powerful angular shape. This ball hooks almost as much as my Exotic Gem but more than my Zen Gold Label. Even though this is a symmetric core, the ball has a very strong mid lane grab that does not quit. The hit and carry of the Summit Peak are excellent and I am getting extra messengers even with my lower rev rate. The look of this ball gives it great shelf appeal. The Apple Kiwi Pie is a nice scent but is a little faint compared to some of the other scented balls. This ball hooks a lot but does not quit. This ball is already very popular and the results for different styles have been very good. I sometimes feel the Reacta Gloss needs to be adjusted on some balls like the Journey but it is a good choice for the Peak. Of course do not be afraid to modify surface on any ball these days, as the covers are easily tuned to your specific needs. I am really enjoying rolling the Summit Peak and the energized hook motion it provides.

Summary:
The Summit Peak hooks plenty and has great back end motion.
The Balls colors are scent are very appealing.
If you need a strong angular pearl, try the Summit Peak.

Rolls Nice!
I had one drilled pin down, I had it hit it with 500 then 3000. All depends on what you already have in your bag, and you want something a little different. I have an Absolute Power, I wanted something to hook less, I have a Revenant, I wanted something more. Then the awesome Virtual Energy Blackout. So for that I wanted something a little more controllable. With what I had done...it was achieved! Rolls awesome, reads the mid lane and doesn't over react. I can't wait to try this ball on different oil patterns. You wont be disappointment!
