My name is Laura Plazas, I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. Ever since I remember I’ve been involved with sports. My first sport was squash when I was three years old, and after that I played golf, tennis, and soccer. It was in 2005 in a beautiful country club in Bogotá where I first got to throw a bowling ball down the lane, and ever since then they had to drag me out for me to leave the center. Thanks to bowling I’ve got to represent my country and win hundreds of medals and built long-lasting memories alongside my fellow teammates. Bowling also gave me the chance to go to the states and earn a bachelor’s degree studying in Wichita State University, where I also got to learn a ton about this sport. I describe myself as a highly competitive, disciplined, determined, honest and a loyal person; those are the values I take with me throughout everything I do.

Therefore, whether it is bowling, board games, any sport, work, or any other activity, I’ll make sure I do the job, learn, grow and improve myself every day. Fun fact about myself: I am an Aerospace Engineer and I love to learn different languages so I can travel to different countries and communicate, and most likely to order every traditional food there is to try.
