My parents bowled when I was growing up and were very good. My dad owned a small center for several years when I was in my teens and my mom managed bowling centers so I was always around it. Since I was naturally competitive, I also was determined to be the best in town. I had success in my late teens and early 20s in both junior and adult tournaments and leagues. I didn't go to college and worked full time since I was 18 but decided to try some LPBT (PWBA) regionals in which I won my first one very quickly. I was fortunate and connected with many great bowlers like Aleta Sill, Cheryl Daniels and Marianne DiRupo. They asked me to bowl on their team in Detroit twice a week which was about an hour to an hour and a half but was worth the drive to bowl with such great people. Bowling with them really kicked started competing in national events several times a year while still working full time. Since then, I've continued to complete in as many as I can while working full time for the past 26 years for Owens Corning. They were gracious in allowing me to bowl and work on the road especially after the tour came back in 2015 in which I bowled full time while also working full time. Now since I'm over 50, I backed off on the PWBA tour but have added as many of the senior events as I can and have continued to have success. I will continue competing until I'm no longer physically able and appreciate Storm being there for me for most of my career and allowing me to represent them on staff for the last 15 years.
