I drilled up my X-CELL with pin under layout of 4 x 5 x 3 layout that I use for pin under layouts. I have tweaked the surface at 2000 to a light 3000.

The X-CELL was laid out with control in mind. I wanted a ball to use when the volume was higher or the pattern longer but also with clean/fresh backends. The pin under layout on the X-CELL gives this one a smoother transition to the dryer end of the pattern so it doesn't boomerang off the spot. I put this one up against some of my bigger balls that I use on longer/higher volume patterns. Compared to the HARSH REALITY, the X-Cell is a smoother transition from wet to dry. The HARSH really digs in compared to the X-CELL and is much closer to the GEM than the X-CELL. Compared to my GEM, the X-Cell is a good compliment as it reads the friction slower and is a good ball down with the light 3000 on it. I may drill another X-CELL with a pin up layout to see how much closer it gets to the early and predictable read of the original GEM.

Put this one in your bag if you are wanting to put a bigger reliable strong piece that is not super early but is more ball than your big pearls. This is also a good one to put in between your HARSH REALITY or GEM and ATTENTION STAR.

I bought this ball looking for something stronger then what i had. Had my local pro shop drill it shout out to Mike Huffman at Strike Zone on Ft Leavenworth , KS. Over the last 5 weeks of having this ball it has been amazing. First week I shoot 660 with it then after that the flood gates opened shooting 708, 723, 754 and 737 last night. The carry this ball has is amazing. I would recommend this ball for everyone. Ball of the year!!!!

Hey Y'all... Stefanie Johnson here. I have had the chance to throw this piece on a few different patterns and it has not disappointed me yet. The word that comes to mind the most for me is Control. On every pattern it has given me control of the pocket as it strong, yet predictable. Two things of which I like a lot in a bowling ball. I threw this ball a ton at the Women's U.S. Open and it got me out of a lot of potentially disasterous games. Give it a try!!

The Cell line has been RE-BORN with the all-new X-Cell for 2024 and beyond. With the addition of the A.I. technology onto the Nucleus core that brought the new Roto Grip back to the top of performance bowling ball, the new Cell is still simply TRUSTWORTHY, CONSISTENCE, and packs a ton of VERSATILITY built-in to it.

I tested and used it on 2 different patterns. A 44ft house pattern and a 50ft USBC sport pattern at ABC North Lanes and Lounge and what I found was that the X-Cell works on a variety of patterns with just a minor surface change from 2000Ab on the house pattern to 4000Ab on the 50ft USBC pattern. I was able to ball up from my Attention Star and Lighting Blackout on the house pattern to open-up my angles and use the heavy oil in the front of the pattern and allow the X-Cell travel to outside of the target markers to get around any traffic I see on my side of the lane, was able to stay in the X-Cell a lot longer than when I use my Attention Star and Lighting Backout when starting in league. On 50ft pattern, I started with My Magic Gem, Harsh Reality, and squared way UP with my X-Ray, and then I switched over the X-Cell and it was better down lane and an overall better and more consistent reaction over the course of the 90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours) I practiced on the pattern. I was quite worn-out afterwards but was pleased with the outcome of the practice session. The X-Cell will be placing the Magic Gem and Harsh Reality in my arsenal because it covers the best of those 2 balls. My summer bags consist of: Roto Grip X-Ray, Storm Tropical Surge solid, Lighting Blackout, Icon Pro, Attention Star and the X-Cell.
