34° Torneo Internacional de LA RAZA

Torneo Internacional LA RAZA, the most important invitational amateur bowling tournament in Latin America, celebrates the 34° edition.

Since 1977 in San José, Costa Rica, every October, LA RAZA takes place and gathers bowlers from the entire Continent.

This year, 256 bowlers, 64 women and 192 men, from 12 countries (USA, Mexico, El Salvador, Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Aruba and Costa Rica) participate in the 34° Torneo Internacional LA RAZA, October 6-13, 2012.

With a 2 year sponsorship deal, STORM BOWLING is supporting LA RAZA and promoting its products in Latin America.

This year, the event is dedicated to 2 Panama’s bowling legends, and both former LA RAZA Singles All Event Champions: Ely Bennett (1996) and Julieta de Gutiérrez (1984)

Besides the Argentina’s star, Lucas Legnani, and the Colombian Pan-American gold medalist, Santiago Mejía (Guadalajara 2011), the presence of 2 former AMF World Champions, Mexican Alfonso Rodríguez (Seul 1985) and USBC Hall of Fame Member, Lucy Sandelin (Tehran, 1976); the 2 consecutive time and current AMF World Cup Champion, Aumi Guerra (Dominican Republic), and 2011-2012 PBA Rookie of the Year, Josh Blanchard highlights the competitive level of the Tournament.

La Raza offers a total prize fund of US $20.000 and this year is supported by the sponsorship from STORM BOWLING. Lane patterns are designed by KEGEL.
