Bowling News USA - January 16, 2014 Bryan Bowers Wins First Greater Iowa Bowling Association Title

Congratulations to Bryan Bowers on winning his first GIBA title last Saturday at the Fort Dodge Ford/Calisesi Chiropractic Open in Fort Dodge. Bryan survived an exciting final match against Scott Greiner by a single pin 207 to 206.
The Greater Iowa Bowling Association is sponsored by Storm Products.
The tenth frame provided lots of drama as Bryan had a chance to close out the match with two strikes and a nine count.  He stepped up and struck the first two shots, but left two pins standing on his count shot. This left Scott with a chance to strike out and tie the match which would force a ninth and tenth frame rolloff. Scott also stepped up and struck the first two shots before a stubborn seven pin ended his run at winning the title. Other top finishers were Brett Lobdell 3rd, Duane Kilts 4th, Troy Fuller 5th, Jacob Bedard 6th, Mike Peters 7th, Andy Shutt 8th, Burke Risetter 9th, Don Breeden 10th, Al Glick 11th, and Jason Hale 12th in the twelve bowler modified stepladder finals. The tournament had 84 entries
