Two PBA Player of the Year contenders and two players trying for their second Tour title will be featured in the PBA Viper Championship presented by PBA Bowling Challenge finals on ESPN at 1 p.m. ET from the South Point Hotel in Las Vegas.

In the opening match of the second tournament of World Series of Bowling V that features the revolutionary blue lane conditioning oil, player of the year contender and No. 4 qualifier, Storm's Jason Belmonte of Australia takes on No. 3 qualifier, Roto Grip's Stuart Williams of England who is trying for his second Tour title.

Trying for his eighth career title, Belmonte has won two titles this season including the USBC Masters for his first major. In addition to his Masters win, he’s made an outstanding showing in majors thus far this season with runner-up finishes in the Tournament of Champions and U.S. Open. Williams is hoping to claim his second career title with his previous win coming in the World Series of Bowling III Viper Championship.

The winner of the opening match takes on 2007-08 Player of the Year Chris Barnes in the semifinal. Barnes will be trying for his second title of the season and the 16th of his career after winning the Milwaukee Open last summer in Milwaukee.

The semifinal winner will take on tournament leader Ryan Ciminelli who is trying for his second career title his first coming in the Earl Anthony Memorial in 2011.

All four players will negotiate the 39-foot Viper lane condition pattern that will be illustrated with the blue oil that gives fans a visual reference of oil patterns and how players attack the lane conditions.

The Viper telecast also features the second of four PBA League skills challenges called “Time to Strike” in which PBA League franchise players Belmonte, Barnes, Sean Rash, Mike Fagan, Bill O’Neill, Pete Weber, Osku Palermaa and Norm Duke attempt to throw as many strikes as possible in 90 seconds. The player with the most strikes in 90 seconds wins this leg of the challenge.
