Bowling News USA - September 21, 2012 Bohr Takes Fort Smith Open Presented by Storm Products.

Nathan Bohr of Derby, Kan., continues to tear up the PBA Southwest Region. On Sunday, Bohr defeated Wichita State University bowler Francois Lavoie of Canada, 238-215, to win his third consecutive PBA Southwest title in the 10th annual Fort Smith Open presented by Storm Products at Bowling World on Fort Smith, Ark.

In addition to his 15th career PBA Regional title and his fourth win since June, Bohr earned $3,000. Lavoie, a member of Team Canada's national junior and adult teams, earned $1,750 as runner-up.

Rounding out a limited weekend of regional competition, Kip Roberts of Glen Allen, Va., defeated Lee Vanderhoef of Greenville, S.C., 279-204, to win the PBA South Region's Red Zone Lounge Open at Thunder Alley in Covington, Va., on Sunday. The title was Roberts' first of the year and the 14th PBA Regional title of his career. He earned $2,000 along with his title.
