Accomplishment: 40 Boards & A Ball kicked off the 2009-2010 season at the Lanes Ft. Meade with a 7 game sweeper decided by the top 4 rolling off for the title. The field was filled with a cast of bowlers who have numerous accomplishments. The new PBA Viper proved to pack a serious bite as the average game rolled was 189.05. Storm amateur staff member Chris Johnson took the early lead with a 227 game before finishing 11th. Storm’s other staffer in attendance, Brian Cavey grinded away until the pattern started to break down and he fired games of 242 & 239 to secure the top spot in the top 4 stepladder finals. The stepladders saw Chip Hamilton work his way past Terry Wiley 202-195 and Dave Lugherno 194-193 before losing to Brian in the title match 233-178. Brian used a Furious and Dimension during qualifying and opted for his Dimension during the title match.
