Bowling was established at the University of Florida in 1974 as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SIBC).

Men’s Highlights

• Member of Southern Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SIBC) from 1974 to 1998, when the conference was disbanded
• Won the SIBC Division Title every year from 1991 to 1998 and Conference Title in 1995, 1997 & 1998
• Qualified for the Intercollegiate Championships a total of 11 times
• Highest finish at Intercollegiate Championships was 2nd in 1974
• Won the national championship in doubles competition in 1985 and 1990
• Individual team members were awarded All Conference Academic honors every year from 1975 to 1979 and from 1983 to 1998.
• Individual team members were awarded Academic All-American honors every year from 1984-2005 and 2008 - 2011.

Women’s Highlights

• Member of Southern Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SIBC) from 1974 to 1998, when the conference was disbanded
• Won SIBC Division Title in 1974, and 14 straight years from 1985 to 1998; won SIBC Conference Title 5 straight years from 1991 to 1995
• Qualified for the Intercollegiate Championships a total of 17 times
• Qualified for USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectionals in 2011
• Highest finish at Intercollegiate Championships was 3^rd
• Won National Championships in singles competition in 1982 and 1984, doubles competition in 1983, 1990, and 1996, and 3 years in a row in All-Events competition from 1990 to 1992
• Individual team members were awarded All Conference Academic honors every year from 1983 to 1998
• Individual team members awarded Academic All-American honors every year from 1984-2005 and 2010 – 2011

The teams currently compete under the governance of the USBC Collegiate, traveling to tournaments throughout the country.
