West Texas has won the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference a record 24 times over the last 30 years.  West Texas was the first team to shoot a baker 300 game in Sectionals or Nationals competitions (Sectionals, Women's team in Las Vegas, 2003). 

Some of the past members of the West Texas team that have gone onto the PBA Tour and Women's Tour include Jack Jurek, Marc McDowell, Mike Miller, Mike Scroggins, Mark Scroggins, Wes Malott, DJ Archer, Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, Cathy Dorin Lizzi, Tammy Turner, and Karen Stroud.
